About Jessica Zamek
Jessica Zamek is a classically trained soprano, jazz vocalist, and seasoned educator based in the Boston area. With over two decades of experience performing and teaching, she brings a vibrant mix of artistry, technical mastery, and deep musical intuition to every lesson and stage.
A native of Maine, Jessica began her journey as a church musician and has served as a section leader, children’s music director, and frequent oratorio soloist. Her classical foundation is complemented by a deep love for jazz — she’s fronted both big bands and intimate combos, building an extensive and diverse repertoire.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Western Connecticut State University, studying under Dr. Margaret Astrup. She later pursued graduate studies at The Hartt School of Music with Mary Mac and Jerome Pruett, performing under renowned conductors Josh Greene and John Koch. Her passion for global musical exchange led her to perform in France at La Roche D’Hys as part of their prestigious international artist program.
Today, Jessica maintains a thriving private voice, conducts community choral groups, and is in demand as a guest vocal clinician. Most recently, she traveled to Austria as a guest clinician, where she worked with singers in masterclasses and ensemble settings. She continues to perform regularly throughout the United States, most recently with Connecticut Lyric Opera and Salt Marsh Opera.
